Solubility : | Terbutaline sulfate is soluble at 1 g per 1.5 ml water or 250 ml of ethanol. It is soluble in 0.1 N hydrochloric acid, slightly soluble in methanol, and insoluble in chloroform. While terbutaline is stable under normal conditions as a solid, it is unstable in light. |
Uses :
- Terbutaline is used to prevent and treat wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness caused by asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. Terbutaline is in a class of medications called beta agonists. It works by relaxing and opening the airways, making it easier to breathe.
